In order to qualify for BUSA (BUCCS) most of us still need to shoot a scond class bowman score.
On Sunday the 7th of June in Wetherby (not very far away) Yorkshire Archery Association are running York and Hereford rounds.
That means men will be shooting: 6 dozen - 100 yards (91 meters) 4 dozen - 80 yards (73 meters) 2 dozen - 60 yards (55 meters)
Women will be shooting: 6 dozen - 80 yards 4 dozen - 60 yards 2 dozen - 50 yards (46 meters)
I should be able to drive to this. It would be very good experience before BUSA to shoot 100 yards (pretty much 90 meters). That and if we have 4 people we will be in a chance of winning team.
Plus Smug (Smug) is shooting in this competition. Personally I haven't seen him shoot in 2 years.
Let me know as soon as possible, Smug will be sorting out peoples GNAS cards for this. Closing date is the 24th.

It's also an Imperial round, so it's 5 zone scoring. That means 9 points gold, 7 red, 5 blue etc.

Count me in. I've never shot a York before. Should be fun.
And by Smug (Smug), I assume you mean Smug? Just checking.

Can anyone come or is it just BUCS people? If it's an anyone I'm potentially interested though I'd need to at least try shooting some distance beforehand!

You can come, Debs, its an open competition, so pretty much everyone can. Are you planning on shooting in BUCS later on in the year? It's the biggest outdoor competition in the UK and is quite an experience. We might even not get rained on one of these years...
However, you will need to shoot 80 yards, which is a pretty long way, and its a 150-arrow day. Not that I'm trying to put you off or anything.

GNAS colours, so forrest greens and white only. It's not listed as world record status but I wouldn't be suprised if it was.
Basically Toby, one hit in the red will qualify you for BUSA. You definately qualified the other day also.
I will sort out entries after the session tomorrow. This should give me enough time to get entries in and sorted.

Only your visible layers need to be green or white. Trousers and whatever top you're wearing. You might for instance wear pink socks, so long as no one can see them. Some people might derrive pleasure from that kind of thing.
