We haven't had any decent activity for a while so let's stir things up a bit with a poll! Any bias is purely coincidental.

I'd like to qualify my vote that they are "only for lazy people" with the slight caveat that they are also for weak people.
Ivan, I'm getting worried about you. Are you planning on being club president, because you do seem to be turning into Tim... How else could you explain the fact that you were on the club forum at 1.52am?

Having said that Ed, me you and Ben are currently second in the British University league under the compound category... ...Which really goes to show just how seriously we should take compound archery.

Having said that Ed, me you and Ben are currently second in the British University league under the compound category... Well done team? I can't seriously believe this... Ed, I was "writing an essay" therefore I needed non-productive ways of wasting my time. I just happened to remember we actually have a board.

Ah, "writing an essay". I do that occasionally. It tends to involve tidying my room and drinking a lot of tea. And generally facebook as well.
Go team compound! Woot!

www.srcf.ucam.org/eleague/results/Scroll down to the senior compound league, and you shall find that we're one position under Edinburgh. Say Ed, wheres the Genesis? After the competition I'd rather like to keep up my no' 1 position at the top of the compound limited league...

Genesis is in t'cupboards in t'sports centre. Looks like I'll need to shoot another compound score as well then. Although I could do with a half decent recurve one first.

I know I should acknowledge compound bows as the beautiful feats of engineering they are, and I know it's a serious sport, sort of, but I still have to giggle every time I see compound archers shoot. Sorry, Ben. ;-)

Having said that Ed, me you and Ben are currently second in the British University league under the compound category... Damit I need to join a university archery club and start shooting some scores!

I like the fact that all three of York's compounders (regardless of whether or not they still shoot, or are even still in York) have been on this thread and yet there are still no positive votes for compounds as "Amazing pieces of engineering."
Keep up the scorn, recurvers.
