With the new year about to start, I thought it's time to make the message board look a little less dead... Also, living like a hermit really does get boring after a while, so I'll take all the socialising I can get, even if it's virtual. To start things off, the latest xkcd posted this morning has almost single-handedly restored my faith in humanity: www.xkcd.com/482/It gets bonus points for including the Romulan Neutral Zone.

There's nothing wrong with living like a hermit. Although it can make you talk to yourself, as I have found out...
I'm afraid most of that is lost on me. But I do appreciate the fact that Ford Prefect is on there.
And yes, it certainly is time to bring a bit of post-summer hols vitality back to the old message board :-)

I'm afraid most of my interent geekery is tied to fanfic and the like, so even the most innocious in-joke or funny link would be completely lost on more sane people. Btw, I'm quite proud that my profile tells people that I'm 'Obviously a final-year student'. And it's even true this year, wohooo!

Hmm... Sadly I'm still only a "serious procrastinator." Which is true, of course, but I am also a final year student. Must try harder.

You're telling me. One of these days I'll have to become a real person. With a job and everything. Looks like an MA beckons...

"Gyyyyet sum troooopsinnnearrrr!"
I believe it's meant to be "Get some troops in here" - another quality line from the Rickman. It's all in the delivery.
