Hello! So, I think for our 'big' social this term most people would like to go Go-Karting (I'm quite fond of the idea myself, even if it doesn't involve shooting people). Now, obviously this would have to be planned a bit in advance as a deposit has to be paid if I actually make a booking. Therefore we'd need a date, asap. I figure that weekends would suit most people better than during the week, yes? So, what about Sunday, week 7? Or Sunday, week 8? If you want to have a look at the prices and the different kind of sessions there are, there's a link here: www.karting.uk.com/Prices.htmFor the people who have already been to this place, how many people can participate at once? Which type of session would you recommend?

Going by the University calendar (weeks begin on the Sunday), Sunday Week 7 is 1st June, Sunday Week 8 is 8th June.
I would hence prefer 1st June, as I can't do the 8th at all.

Hang on, I think I mixed things up, because in my own little world a week starts on Monday. In that case I meant Sunday, week 8 or Sunday, week 9: 8th June or 15th June.

Well, I've just contacted them about the dates and whether there's still places available - If any of you can't go on either of those dates but would really like to go, please let me know! Now's your chance.=)

I would, but I'm not sure when I'll be able to. For me, it would likely have to be after everything is over and done with, so after the 16th June; because I'm CRAZY busy until then.

Right, so I've just called the place and they told me that they have an hour-long session free on Saturday, 14th of June from 4 to 5, or alternatively an hours' session on Sunday, 15th of June from 10 to 11.
I have to say, I thought it'd be a bit longer, considering the price. Hm.
Opinions, thoughts, y/n? (It's not too late to go paintballing, you know.)

Huhm seeing the price/time relation and the fact that no-one has posted, I would like to say that paintballing sounds better
Anyone interested?

Oh well, I suppose we can always go bowling (again). Or lazer quest? That involves shooting people as well and it's a bit more short-term if people don't know how stressed they'll be with exams and stuff.

I'd enjoy bowling, I generally find laser quest to be not that great. (and I always end up shooting my own team)

I do history, I have no stress worries whatsoever (he says whilst about to start writing an essay due in for this afternoon). Despite this, I somehow find myself incredibly busy at the weekends so probably wouldn't be able to make paintballing/go-karting. I'm up for a weekday bowling/laser/anything else trip though...

I think the conclusion is that we'll probably go bowling at some point at the end of term, but that'll be during the week. We can talk about what people want to do at the social tomorrow.
