So, social! Hello everyone! For our last social this term we'll be going for our traditional *winter* (not Christmas for somewhat convoluted reasons involving elections and the constitution) meal in town, preceeded by some ice-skating! The social will take place next Tuesday, week 10. I'm happy to wait for people at Vanbrugh Stalls at 5.30, so we can be at the the Ice Factor in front of Cliffords Tower in time for the session starting at 6 pm; alternatively you could just meet us there. I've also booked a table at Siam House, which is a Thai restaurant (http://www.york360.co.uk/restaurants/siam-house.htm) , for 8 pm; if some of you don't fancy the ice-skating, but would still like to come for the meal (or the other way round), just drop me a line and let me know! If you're planning on attending the social, you can either reply in the thread at the messageboard here: uyac.proboards34.com/index.cgi?board=social&action=display&thread=650&page=2or you can let me know via email at fk504. Since I've booked a table, it's important I get an idea of the number of people coming to the meal, so please do respond. I hope to see you all next week! Take care, Fran

Every thread on this board holds deep meaning, I'll have you know. ;D Especially the ones where its just Ben posting humorous pictures of oversized foodstuffs. Count me in as well. I'll probably be along for the ice skating to act as coat rack, like last year. Or perhaps I'll bring a sixpack and get wasted instead. Keep out the cold a little bit.

Yes, there is, though we are taking some people to the Novice Championships tomorrow too. If you didn't fancy that, it's same time as per usual.

Oh wonderful. You will notice that I'm not at the winter meal because I got locked out of my own house. Brilliant. At least my neighbour has internet...
