Hello everyone, how is everyone? I hope you're all enjoying of what's left of your holidays? Anyway, I was just wondering what kind of socials people would like to have next term - I figure going paintballing at the end of term would be nice, no? And the obligatory meal, but apart from that I'm open to suggestions. Are there any movies either at the YSC or in town we could watch together? Do another ghost walk? Go to Whitby for some fun on the beach...?

A diminutive Texan voice says: "Go karting and rollercoasters!" as social suggestions...
Whitby sounds like a nice idea.

I thought about a walk from Whity to Robin Hood's Bay, but I'm not quite sure about insurance and stuff in that case, so maybe not. But if we're just going to the beach and gorging ourselves on ice cream and fish and chips (maybe not at the same time, though) I'm sure it should be fine.

But if we're just going to the beach and gorging ourselves on ice cream and fish and chips (maybe not at the same time, though) Fish and chips!!! Sorry. Simple things and all that. Ice cream and fish and chips sounds like it could make an interesting meal... All these ideas sound marvellous, and yes I shall be making an effort to actually attend some of them this term. I have no ideas myself because I've only just woken up. Are the ghost walks any good - I've never been on one?

I've been to two Ghost Walks and a boating trip with ghost stories and it was all good fun! We could do one after the meal this year or something. =)

i think it was about 35ish Blimey. In that case I think it's a question of what people would rather do - go-karting or paintballing?

Go karting is better! I've tried both, and I enjoyed karting a lot more... it's also possible to spend a lot of money at a paintball site.
More importantly, of course, with go karting, you get to sit down.

I'll have a look at the website. I think we should do it at the end of term - week 8, week 9 maybe?

I support the go-karting idea.

I support the go-karting idea. I think that's the general consensus.=) It costs about the same as paintballing if you think about all those extra paintballs you usually end up buying... Now we only need to settle on a date and stuff. How does Sunday, week 8 sound? Good? Bad?
