I was reading about this York Sport thingie and apparently they are trying to come up with a few changes, among them "solving the storage problem". Also, only 24 clubs showed up (out of 57)... so are we sending someone to this things? or are we blissfully ignoring it?

We may well have blissfully ignored it as we found the scheduling somewhat inconvenient. Don't worry, though. Sounds like you've just volunteered for the next one.
On a more serious note, they do send out emails (presumably to all York Sport members - it can't be just me that gets them...) which summarise what they discussed, and minutes are available on the York Sport website, or will be soon. And I for one am not that bothered if we have to wear the same strip as all the other uni sports clubs. It seems a little trivial to me. But perhaps I'm just a jaded third year...

I would rather not wear black and gold to the shooting line, I was thinking team colours should be bro.

I'm in favour of the black and gold change And yes, no one went as i have too much work to do (to the point that the paintball club is failing to do anything really this term) and ed seems to be attached to books on a semi permanent nature... The forums (as stated by Mr Lacy) were said to be non compulsary unlike the AUGMs of old ... so there is another reason why so many clubs didn't go

Huhm okay. I agree that most of the stuff is quite petty, I don't think any of us care about the yorksport logo but there is one thing that does matter to us: storage space. They are (supposedly) going to see what they do about the "storage problem" and I think we need to have a say on this.
Also, went past the range today and it is revolting to see what they are doing to it. Anyone knows when they will be done?

no.. but the water board have priority there, and considering i think it's major restoration work to the tank... quite a while....
Alex is meant to be emailing me with the plans at some point...
As to storage space... we talk to the sports centre and organise with them as they are the ones that actually deal with everything there... and a bit of give and take means we still have our stuff inside there... and i don't think it'll affect us too much at all

Huhm okay it's just frustrating that I finally get the keys and they dig the range up! how unfair is that? We're okay at the moment I guess, it's just a matter of checking what is happening and making sure we don't get screwed by any craziness they might come up with. But we have Tim to do that, don't we

When I last went to the range, they said it would take three weeks to dig up the far end and then three weeks to dig up the near end. I think that was probably about three weeks ago. But we all know what builders' estimates are like...
Seriously, if the sports centre try and take any more of our space ah will cuut them.

HA! Nice, Teddy. I have something to say about black and gold: AWFUL! Do you know how bad gold looks next to most skin tones?? REALLY BAD! Im getting an image in my head that looks like sick. I know Im being a girl, but someone has to point these things out! Otherwise we will end up with another Andrew/Smug fiasco of colors!

Hm, black and gold, eh? This sounds like it might be relevant to the hopefully imminent merchandise order maybe?
I also agree with Lucy that gold is a hideous colour for most people. I like black, but gold? I don't have any jewellery to go with that!

Then you will have an excuse to buy some and lucy... black and gold is waaay better than black and navy or green and navy... and yes, you're being a girl

Maybe I'm mistaken, but aren't UYAC colours half black and gold already? You'd just have to correct the trousers to black or somesuch, and you'll be sorted. Also, fran and lucy - Have large quantities of black, small quantities of gold. Or, er, yellow, as it seems to show up the other side of a kit order.

yes.. that's the only thing we need to actually change... but in terms of actual clothing i think York Sport are going for a complete uniform look ( think Durham) also we're no longer aloud to use the York Crest....

We were never allowed to use the University crest....

We were never allowed to use the University crest.... In that case I shall cherish my unlawful clothing as proof of the rebel I am. And possibly paint my bedroom black. Edit: And my stars now know I'm not a final year student!
