Merlin Archery are hosting a competition on 2nd March in the style of the Vegas rounds shot at the World Archery Festival in Las Vegas. The tournament also doubles as a Merlin showcase, so there'll be plenty of equipment and things to drool over. The TournamentArchers are arranged into two flights. Each archer shoots three rounds of 30 arrows each, for a total of 90 arrows over the day. Maximum score is 900. Flight 1 shoots at: 8am, 11am and 2pm Flight 2 shoots at: 9:30am, 12:30am and 3pm All bow-styles shoot 3-spot Vegas face at 18 metres. Big ten counts as 10 for all styles. X's count as 10 as well and are used for tie-breaks. This is a Vegas face: Awards1st place: £20 2nd place: £10 3rd place: £5 The 1st place winners of each flight go through to a 12-arrow shoot-off to be decreed the Champion of Champions, and get an extra £50. When and where?2nd March (Sunday Week 8, which I've been told is the day after BUSA) at Loughborough University. Dress codeSmart/Casual clothing may be worn. Entry fee£10 More stuffI'll definitely be going, and Andrew has expressed interest too. Now I have my car I'll be driving there so I can fit in another three people at most. Loughborough isn't far, it's just down the M1 more-or-less so getting there will be easy enough. Closing date for entries is 24th February but it might fill up rather quick, so if people would like to come, please let me know as soon as possible. It's a bit of fun and something different. If you do wish to come along I need your: Name Sex (Not "Yes please.") Bow-style Which Flight you prefer to be on (I don't mind either way) GNAS No. Any questions, best to post in here. If you want to email me the above details then send 'em to belg500.

Just to clarify, that face isn't actual size right?
I would come and join you but I've not got round to joining a club down here yet and I'd need more than a month to get my form back

Dress codeSmart/Casual clothing may be worn. Smart clothing? I just had a vision of someone shooting whilst dressed in a dinner jacket... Hmm... (Yes, I'm back on the board!)

Whoops - I seem to have forced the thread off-topic... Just did a search for 'archery in a DJ' and got this: Apparently he's a 5 star DJ center

Don't make me break the glass on the BanHammer, Tim. I like that picture...
Anyone actually likely to turn up to this thing? I'm quite looking forward to seeing you all look shattered from the day before.
